Cooch behar is the northern most district of West Bengal adjacent to Assam state. Cooch behar town is the district headquarters where only the remnant of the princely state can be seen, The Koch Dynasty Raj palace, huge Sagar Dighi Pond and the Madan Mohan temple are the most notable places to see. Rasik Bill is a lake not very far from Cooch Behar town that attracts a lot of birds which make nests in the trees around the lake.
