Coochbihar, Rashik Bil


Coochbehar is the northest part of West Bengal. It is well connected by rail and road from Kolkata to North east India. It is about 700 km from Kolkata and takes 16 hours by rail/road to reach from Kolkata. All trains to north east India go via Coochbehar. Places to see are Coochbehar Rajbari, the great Palace, Madan Mohan Temple, Baneswar temple. Sagardihi, Sidhheswari Kali Bari, Kamteswari temple. Also, if you travel for an hour and reach Tugfanganj in the district, you reach Rasik Bill, a huge lake best known for bird watching, specially the migrated birds.
